On the evening of November 30, 2019, the highly anticipated 2019 Quebec Chinese Enterprise Excellence Awards Gala was held in the Palais des Congres in downtown Montreal. More than 500 people from Quebec's business community attended the awards gala. A total of seven awards including the Outstanding Chinese Entrepreneur Award, Outstanding New Immigrant Entrepreneurship Award and Outstanding Chinese Young Entrepreneurship Award were announced. The Quebec Chinese Enterprise Excellence Awards Gala is organized with the purpose of assembling and promoting Canadian based Chinese enterprises, aims to promote the hard-working spirit of Chinese business communities in Canada, mainly in the province of Quebec, in the form of grand award gala, with the ultimate goal of gathering Chinese strengths together and advocating social responsibility. The Gala maximizes the strength of Chinese business community in Canada, mainly in the province of Quebec, and enhances the public image of Canadian Chinese enterprises in the mainstream community.
This evening was hosted by the Canadian Chinese Entrepreneurs Council (CCEC) with the presence of the Consul General Xueming Chen of the Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in Montreal; Alexandra Mendes, Canadian Parliament Member; Abdoul Aziz Niang, the assistant Deputy minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture in Quebec; Former Minister of Health and Social Services of Quebec/ Quebec Provincial Councilor Gaétan Barrette; Mayor of Brossard, Doreen Assaad; Henry Liu, Vice President of Power Cooperation Canada; Jean François Prince, Regional Vice President of Commercial Banking, Royal Bank of Canada; Ponora Ang, Partner of Fasken Law Firm; Amina Gerba, President of Entreprendre Ici; Chris Pereira, Director of public affairs at Huawei Technologies Canada, and more than 500 people from Quebec's business community.
