The Chinese Canadian Entrepreneurs Council (CCEC) held its 5th Anniversary Celebration on June 10, 2022 (11h30 to 14h30 CST) at Saint-James Club. During this celebration, we looked back and forward to the future, summarizing the significant events of CCEC in the past few years and hoping to move forward into the future.

First, Philippe Wang reviewed the whole development of the Council, for instance, CCEC still has a responsible demeanor under the epidemic, raising 50,000 Canadian dollars to distribute masks to frontline and high-risk practitioners, and conducting a series of lectures on artificial intelligence and blockchain technology and to discuss future development trends together.

Next, Consul General Chen Xueming delivered his speech, welcoming Canadian and Quebec companies to share the vast opportunities in the Chinese market. He also spoke positively of CCEC's family and social commitment, especially in fighting the new epidemic and serving the Chinese community. He hopes that in the future, we can also pay attention to sustainable development and biodiversity, which are themes being discussed in all countries. He also mentioned that the 5th China International Import-Expo event will be held offline in November and welcomed the participation of quality Canadian and Quebec companies.

Next, former Federal Minister of Justice, Martin Cauchon, congratulated CCEC on its fifth anniversary. He looked forward to the continued contribution of CCEC and Chinese entrepreneurs in promoting bilateral cooperation and the development of Sino-Canadian and Sino-Quebec relations.

The 5th anniversary celebration was also made possible by the support of our sponsors and CCEC would like to express gratitude to these various sponsors: Brivia Group, RBC, Sinobec Group, CIBC, Elite Times CPA, Shopper +, Desjardins, Fasken, Rayonled, TD - Chui Au, Arctica Food and Desjardins.

The event was followed by a medal of honor presented to Si Chen, Joy Wu, Vicky Zhang, and Kenneth Tran for their significant contributions to the development of corporate relations between Canada and China.

At the end of the event, CCEC also held a raffle with Artica Food and Lori as the sponsors of the prizes.

The end of the event does not mean that CCEC will stop here, but that in the future, CCEC will be able to make more contribution to the development of China-Canada-Quebec corporate relations with a prouder stature.
