On June 18th, "Employment and Internship" seminar was successfully held by Canadian Chinese Entrepreneurs Council (CCEC). Consul General Chen Xueming attended and delivered a keynote speech. CCEC President Philippe Wang, Vice President of Power Corporation Henry Liu, Vice President of Brivia Group Vincent Kou, Vice President of Sinobec Group Judy Niu, HR of Shopperplus Group, along with more than 1,000 Chinese students participated in the seminar.

 

Consul General Chen Xueming expressed in his speech that the consulate always care about health, study and living conditions of Chinese students, and strives to provide more practical measure and help for everyone. Organizing this seminar with local organizations is a new attempt we have made, to better serve the students. We hope that students will be helped and inspired; we also hope that students will be more successful in their studies, contribute their talents to the development of the motherland, and contribute to the development of international friendship,exchanges and cooperation.
 
Chen Xueming also reminded Chinese students in the consular district to continue to guard their safety against the pandemic, follow the consulate's advice to keep up information on consular protection and bilateral education and other areas of exchanges and cooperation.

 

Other guests shared many insightful thoughts such as the development trend of the world economy and industry, career choices, job application skills, and corporate internship opportunities. A number of international student representatives shared their successful application experience and work experience in Chinese Canadian cooperations. Entrepreneurs and international student representatives said that the seminar meets the needs of both local Chinese Canadian enterprises and international students, also builds a bridge between the two parties.
